Fundamental Princables of Sharia-'There is no Prayer of the menstruating women except that she is wearing Khimar (Head scarf.)'

On the Authority of Aaiesha, The Prophet (pbuh) said, 'There is no Prayer of the menstruating women except that she is wearing Khimar (Head scarf.)
Related by Ahmad, Abu Dawood, Tirmadhi, Ibn Majah, Al-Hakim, & Bayhaqi & Tiramdhi said it is classed Hassan & Al-Hakim said it is Authentic, on the conditions of Musim, & was approved by Adhahbi & has also been Authenticated by Ibn Khuzamah Ahmad Shakir & Albani

Comentery:
The Hadith upon reading it strikes ones mind on what is the Hadith of the Prophet (pbuh) trying to tell us...
It is evidently known through Shari'ah that a menstruating women is not allowed to pray until her Menses is over, as stated by The Prophet (pbuh) whom said to Fatimah bint Abu Habish, "Do not pray during your Menses. After it has ended, perform ghusl and pray." (Bukhari & Muslim.)
But yet in the Hadith states that she cannot perform it until she is covered!!!
The Scholars say the meaning of this Hadith is once a female has her menses for the first time, this is her sign of purity & adulthood (Maturity) witch means that the ruling of covering herself applies and becomes compulsory upon her.
This Hadith has Also been used by Scholars to prove that once a female has her first menses that she is obliged by Shari'ah to cover her self from hijab to the full covering of her body (Aabayiah/'gown'). It has been mentioned throughout the Fiqh books of Imam Ahmad, this Hadith is used as evidence that a women must cover everything 'whilst praying' except her face, and what he meant by that is the woman should be covered completely whist praying which includes her hands and feet (coinciding with the covering of the body) leaving the face uncovered.

Important point about this Hadith-
*This is an evidence that can be used to rule when a female is considered Mature (reached puberty)

*It is an evidence to when a female must wear Hijab

*Evidence to What is considered Awrah when a female prays

*Proof for how a women must be covered upon praying

*If a young girl (that has not had her menaces yet) can pray without Hijab (younger Children)

*That Hijab coincides with covering your body (not just the head)

*Covering the body is a Condition for the Prayer to be excepted

*It is an evidence to prove that wearing hijab Is 'compulsory' once a female reaches her first menses.

Quotes from the Scholars on this Hadith-
Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen said: That if a woman reached the age of menstruation, Allah does not accept her Prayer until she covers her head. (Fatwa; 2/301)

Sheikh Muhamad Ibn Ismaail Al-Amir As-Sanaati said in his book (Sabil As-Salam-2/194) its been proven that a must in her prayers to cover her head and neck, as stated in the Hadith of Khimar, and to cover the rest of her body until the back of her feet, as stated by the hadeeth of Umm Salamah, and it is permissible to uncover her face because of no Hadith that has been mentioned (covering her face whilst praying).

Ibn Qudama said, This proves that That the Prayer is executable from other then a menstruating woman (has not reached the age of menstruation) with out a head veil, and as for the one that is under the age of seven even if she was to pray in something that is above the knee's and below the navel or without a thowb (gown) it is expectable (in her case), verily her Prayer is correct due to her Awrah that has know ruling (as to an Awrah of an adult), but if one covers her this is better for her to Learn and practice (for when it becomes obligatory upon her.) (Al-Mugni -359/1)
